Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) hosted the 108th Open Auction for Distinctive Vehicle Number Plates on December 18 at the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City Hotel.
The Q 22 number plate fetched a whopping Dh5 million at the auction, taking the crown of the highest bid of the night.
Other plates of varying degrees of importance sold for upwards of Dh800,000.
The auction offered 100 unique number plates up for grabs. The collective earnings of the auction added up to Dh36 million. Talk about big bucks.
