Expo City Dubai opens its door tomorrow: All you need to know

Here is the moment you’ve been waiting for…

Expo City Dubai has been giving visitors a preview of what to expect as it opened two of its most popular pavilions on September 1. The city — which is the legacy site of Expo 2020 Dubai — will officially open on Saturday, October 1, with more pavilions and experiences on offer. Packed with top attractions from Expo 2020 Dubai, Expo City Dubai opened for a preview to visitors on September 1 but there will be a grand reopening with more attractions opening on October 1.

Ticket Price :

Admission to the city itself is free. A one-day Attractions Pass priced at Dh120 will initially grant visitors access to the four pavilions. The pass will “evolve to include more pavilions and attractions as they open”. Children aged 12 and under and people of determination can visit the attractions for free, but have to obtain their complimentary pass at one of Expo City Dubai’s ticketing booths. Visitors can also opt for individual pavilion tickets, which cost Dh50 per person per pavilion (free for children aged 12 and under and people of determination).

Timing :

The pavilions and some attractions will be open Monday to Sunday, 10am to 6pm. Some attractions are open 24/7.

Free experiences that are open 24/7 :

2-Al Wasl Plaza

5 paid experiences :

1- Vision Pavillion

‘Reawakening’ of Al Wasl Dome :

The glittering centrepiece of the world’s fair Al Wasl Dome is to spring into life in style with a spectacular show planned for the official opening of the legacy site. Known as Expo’s crown jewel, the 360-degree translucent structure will remain at the heart of Expo City Dubai. The ‘Awakening of Al Wasl’ show will get under way at 6.15pm, with organisers promising a celebration of the creative and enterprising spirit of the emirate.

As for the rest of the Expo 2020 Dubai site, you can go and have a wander through, or pay and take a biggie, e-scooter, eBikes or buggy.
